We provide access to insurance for contractors who work on water supply and wastewater projects. Insurance protection applies to the provision of operator services under contract and includes coverage for well drillers and pump installers.
Contractors typically secure a bundle of insurance to cover all aspects of their operation. This may include general liability and errors and omissions (aka: professional liability) coverage. Depending on the work they do, many contractors will obtain contractors pollution liability coverage, builder’s risk insurance and property insurance to cover their owned property.
Some contractors will also consider umbrella insurance and excess liability coverage. Certain forms of contract with clients require the contractor to provide a surety bond, which is a form of insurance for the client. As a matter of course, contractors will also have Workers Compensation Insurance and commercial auto insurance in place.
